WORD of the DAY 

All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.  (Matthew 11: 27)

How shall I live this Word?   

Everything the Father is, is a gift to the Son. Everything the Son is, is a gift of the Father. From Him Jesus receives His nature, his love, and himself. Jesus is Son because He is known by the Father. The being of the Son is this knowledge of the Father: only this knowledge which is intimate presence to one another, which is the love that exists between the Father and the Son, is true knowledge. Only Love makes the other be in His identity. In this Love, we live. So much so that the Son, the only one turned towards the Father, wanted to reveal to us the true face of the Father. Let us ask the Spirit to enable us to put ourselves in this attitude of “receiving us from God” like Jesus who received everything from the Father. It is the opposite of Adam’s attitude that instead of receiving and accepting from God His gift of being, by yielding to ‘unlove’, found himself suspecting and not savoring in trust the gift received from Love and thus, lost the truth of himself.

O Holy Spirit, make us whole with Your presence and help us to let You fill us!

You are that which is not.  I instead, am He who is. If you had in your soul this recognition, the enemy would not be able to trick you…you would never consent to anything contrary to my commandments, and you would easily acquire every grace, every truth, and every light!
