From the Word of the Day

The Holy Spirit will teach you everything and remind you of all that I have told you.

(John 14: 26)

How should we live this Word db_43-Pentecost[1]

The Holy Spirit promised by Jesus descends on Mary and the Apostles and makes them strong and courageous in proclaiming the Gospel and in witnessing to it with their life.  He is always present in us, consoling us, encouraging us, giving us light and strength to receive the Gospel message and to be missionaries in our daily environment, acting with charity and sincerity toward everyone.

Let us open the door of our mind and heart to feel Him present within us and to follow the inspirations he continually sends to us.  Especially in this Year of Mercy, the Spirit invites us to make concrete actions of welcome and generosity toward people in need.  He reminds us and calls us to the Gospel message of charity that characterizes us as Christians.  At the same time, He comforts us and makes us joyful witnesses as we follow Christ as a member of His Church

The Voice of Pope Francis – Pentecost Homily, May 24, 2015

The Word of God, especially today, tells us that the Spirit works in our person and in the communities.  He guides us to all truth, renews the earth, and gives His fruit.
