Twenty First Monday Feast of St. Bartholomew

“You will see greater things than this.”   (John 1, 45-51)

Bartholomew

What shall we see, Lord

as we cling to You,

remaining with You

In tenacious faith?

Shall we see Your glory

hidden in human guise

Transfigured at the Tabors of our lives?

Or meet You in the valleys of our suffering

when Calvary looms?

No matter.

Each moment holds Your greatness

If we but eyes to see

and heart open and free.
